Shen Ye Qin 沈叶琴 has been making zisha teapots for over 25 years and is considered a master in her own right. Shen Ye Qin received direct training from two nationally-acclaimed Masters of Arts and Crafts of China—Gao Song Yun 高松云 and Zhang Zheng Zhong 张正中—further advancing her skills beyond that of her peers. With the guidance of her two teachers, her inborn talent, and innate need for perfection, Shen Ye Qin has cultivated her reputation on par to that of nationally-certified masters - a feat impossible to attain by ordinary craftsmen. Naturally, her pieces have won multiple national awards, with one of her notable works, “De Fu 德福”, featured at the Beijing Arts and Crafts Museum.
Shen Ye Qin’s brilliance shines in every piece she creates; her work is immaculate and sharp, embellished by clear, faultless lines, yet retains a touch of delicacy one can only witness in works made by famous masters. Her pieces provide the beholder a glimpse of her unrelenting pursuit for excellence - an allegorical insight of her perpetual state of mind.
More a professional obligation rather than an artistic conquest, Shen Ye Qin is presently in the process of officiating her national title as Master of Arts and Crafts of China. As this rising artist slowly opens the doors to bureaucratic recognition, this moment of limbo favorably grants the astute collector the opportune moment to own masterful pieces before their value reaches for the stars!
